Cypriot Middle Bronze Age pottery spouted vessel

A drab polished red slip ware pottery vessel with a tall handle and long side-mounted spout. The vessel is undecorated apart from incised lines on the handle and a pierced suspension lug on the back of the shoulder.

Surface chipping as seen in the photographs, handle repaired and the spout has been restored (reconstructed)

Ex. collection: Barbara Milne, UK, acquired during the late 1960’s and exported from Cyprus no later than 26th October 1969; thence passed by family descent, Wales, UK.
